I am a Native American artist and an enrolled member of the Diné (Navajo) Nation. My work is deeply connected to my heritage, my family, and the traditional silversmithing practices that have shaped generations before me.
My father was a Diné silversmith who learned his craft from the generations before him. As a child, I spent countless hours beside his bench, asking questions and learning the same techniques he was taught—including traditional silversmithing, inlay, tufa stone casting, stone cutting, and jewelry repair.
Today, I continue creating the way he taught me, using many of the same tools that were part of my earliest memories. My workbench holds my grandmother's ring mandrel, handmade family stamps, and a clay crucible my father crafted from clay we gathered in Utah's West Desert. Every piece I make carries a connection to the hands that came before mine.
Nature has always been at the heart of my work. The mountains, desert, and changing seasons inspire my designs, and the silver leaves found throughout my collection are a tribute to one of my favorite techniques my father taught me.
